Memories Day

Memories Day

As part of the North Heritage Trail project; The St George’s Community group have been working with our Sixth Form students on the collection of memories from the local area. On 24th November 2017, a ‘Memories Day’ was held at the Greenways Farm Shop in St George’s. Members of the public were invited to share their memories of the local area as it was in the past.

Pupils put their training from BBC Radio Shropshire to good use by asking a range of open ended questions. The reaction from the public was fantastic and this was a really interesting and enjoyable experience.

Cliff Hewitt, who worked at the Granville Colliery, is interviewed by Sixth Form students Michael Clarke and Leah Booth.
