Holocaust Educational Trust Trip to Poland 2017

Holocaust Educational Trust Trip to Poland 2017

I was very fortunate this year to support two of our students who were selected to take part in the Holocaust Educational Trust’s ground breaking Lessons from Auschwitz project. Students from schools throughout the West Midlands took part in a half day seminar before an actual visit to Auschwitz itself. This was then followed up with a further half day seminar which ensured an exceptional educational experience. The four part course explores the universal lessons of the Holocaust and its relevance for today. It was a moving experience to visit sites so closely associated with the holocaust. The students are now ambassadors for the Holocaust Educational Trust and have led collective acts of worship in school, explaining the impact that the trip has had on them and their hopes for the future.
