Straight from the author’s mouth

Paul Dowswell, an award-winning author of historical fiction for young adults talked to year 7 students about his book ‘Wolf Children’ set in Berlin at the end of the second world war. His visit formed part of Impact Day, a day where students participated in activities and workshops away from their timetable.

Paul read excerpts from the book and told of his inspiration to write his books which exceed 70 titles, nearly all influenced by his love of history. As part of the Impact Day literary theme, all year 7 students were given a free book and contained within these books were eight golden tickets. The golden ticket winners were then awarded with a copy of Wolf Children, signed by the author himself.
