Students at Holy Trinity Academy have been introduced to the West Mercia Police ‘Steer Clear’ programme, focussing on ‘Knife Crime’ and how to ‘Keep Ourselves Safe’. An officer from West Mercia Police delivered an eye-opening talk on knife crime and the devastating impact it has on victims, their families, emergency services, the general public as well as the offender. The Steer Clear programme is a new project aimed at young people with a view to safeguarding and protecting them from criminalisation.
