As you will have witnessed over the past week the traffic situation around Teece Drive is unacceptable. As a school we have been advised that we are legally not allowed to intervene as we do not have jurisdiction over the public highway. However, I am appealing to a group of parents who insist on parking on the double yellow lines that this needs to stop. Firstly this creates the situation where no vehicle can then move creating the back log, but also as we have been advised that cars parked illegally will be issued with fines.
As previously mentioned the school runs a free reading club after school until 3.10pm which would reduce the number of pupils leaving school at 2.40pm. Some parents also meet their child away from the school where there is more parking available and their child walks to meet them.
