Dr Martin Khechara and the Science Shack team, in conjunction with the Society for General Microbiology, visited HTA on 15th January and gave some amazing demonstrations as to how disease can be passed by touch, sneezing and faecal contamination. The event was aimed, to not only raise awareness of disease and how it’s transmitted, but to give our students an exciting introduction into the world of microbiology. Students’ feedback confirmed that the day was “…..interesting, a lot of fun, a real eye opener”
