Thursday 20th May sees the official opening of the The Marches Centre, based at the University of Wolverhampton’s Telford Campus . It is offering new courses in Adult Nursing, Mental Health Nursing and Paramedic Science. New courses in Social Care, Social Care and Housing, Community Development and Youth Work as well as a range of CPD and Master’s courses will be offered from September 2021. The aim of the Centre is to ensure that the Marches area is self-sufficient in providing the health and social care workforce needed for the future. There will be increased opportunities for local people to study higher education courses in Telford and to progress into higher level employment locally.
